Stay in our 110-year-old Japanese Farmhouse in the heart of the southern Alps of Japan. Located along the “Oi” river, surrounded by tea fields and nature, our guest house is the perfect place to learn about and genuinely experience rural life in Japan.

We met and fell in love in Shizuoka and want to share our experience and provide unique trips for our guests.
We can teach you how to use an onsen (hot spring) bath, take you on a walking tour of the area or provide you with knowledge and history about the area. Just ask!

天 Private room “Ten”
“Ten-shu-kaku” means “Top of the castle”. Located on the 3rd floor of the guesthouse, this room offers a quiet get away with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and tea farms.

光 Private room “Ko”
Located on the 2nd floor of the guesthouse, this spacious room offers an alcove with a private reading desk, a beautiful view of the gardens, and warm sunny mornings.

- Futon beds
- Can accommodate 3 to 4 adults.
巡り Women’s Only Dorm: “Meguri”
Located on the 1st floor of the guesthouse, this dorm is limited to only 2 guests at a time to allow for space and privacy. Individual charging ports, reading lights, and bedside tables are provided.

Facilities and Amenities
Shared Kitchen
Fully stocked, the Mikansei Kitchen is the perfect place to make a meal. We provide coffee, tea, rice, and instant miso soup for an easy breakfast.
There’s also plenty of space in the fridge and freezer for anything you buy at the local market or nearby convenience store.
Microwave, toaster, electric kettle, 4 range gas stove top, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, pots, pans, spices, oil, are all available and free to use.

Bathroom
The guest house has 2 restrooms, 1 shower room, 1 shower/bathroom, and 2 sinks. Bathrooms and showers are commonly used by all guests and visitors to the house.
Showers are all stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairdryers. Towels are readily prepared for each guest in their rooms.
Living Room
Gather around the “horikotatsu” a traditional Japanese table incorporated into a recessed floor.
The Mikansei common area is great for making new friends, sharing a meal, or relaxing.

Perfect for cozy movie or game nights after a day full of experiences and travel.
